What does the Digital Marketing Specialist do?

A Digital Marketing Specialist works with the Digital Marketing Director to create unique, informative content for customers to distribute on our digital properties including websites, blogs, social media, and more. This content can be a couple sentences of general interest or a few well-researched paragraphs on a targeted topic. It would also include images and infographics, short videos, or combinations of all of these.

“The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for creating and distributing a variety of digital assets, including blog posts, landing pages, web banners, photos, and videos. The position also comprises numerous marketing tasks such as social media management, fixed ops publishing, and customer review response. The biggest chunk of time is spent researching and writing relevant content for potential and existing customers. A lot of time is also spent navigating the CMS to ensure the quality presentation of digital assets. Light HTML and CSS knowledge is helpful in this regard. Photography also plays a significant role because it helps illustrate and complement written content. Video production hasn’t been required often but is becoming increasingly important to the position as time goes on. The skills and programs I use the most in this position are writing, copy editing, interviewing, DSLR operation, Photoshop, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and WordPress.”
