When is the 2020 Olympus Rally?

The Olympus Rally was part of the first U.S Rally Championship held in 1973. It eventually became a World Rally Championship round from 1986-1988. The rally event takes place in the Olympic peninsula near Olympia,Washington. It is known for its long and rough stages, some of which exceed 25 miles in length. This year’s rally takes place on November 14th-15th, and is unfortunately a no spectator due to the current state of the Corona virus pandemic. Across those 2 days, there will be fourteen stages, totaling 109.5 miles.

The Olympus Rally normally takes place during the spring, but since the Corona virus postponed the regular event date, it is now taking place mid November. This poses a few more difficult threats for the drivers. One being the amount of daylight they have. There are a few scheduled night stages, which will be the first of it for the Olympus rally. The other factor is obviously weather. It more than likely will rain and be wet, creating a different terrain for the drivers. There are currently 74 registered competitors for the rally so it will be interesting to see how they adapt to the conditions.
